Grand Cru from Sancerre ?

The Winery began with the great grandfather Serge Renard in the early 1900s

Serge started by buying a farm and producing cereals and livestock. 

Then, he started to plant plots of vines on a very step land called Les Monts Damnés. At the time, everything was worked by hand or using a winch.

Today the estate is composed of 3Ha of Sauvignon Blanc exclusively planted in the famous Côte Des Monts Damnés.

The two brothers, David & Anthony decided in 2015, to partner and sell the production in bottle.

Today, Les Monts Damnés is considered the Grand Cru of Sancerre, with a total area of 35Ha. This makes the Anthony & David estate one of the largest owner of this renowned lieux-dit.  

From vineyard to cellar

Since 2018 Anthony and David works only with massale selection to renew the vines when needed.

Today, a lot of work is being done by hand because of the steep slopes, the harvest was always made manually.

The terroir is composed of Kimmeridgian marls, called as « Terres Blanches »

Hand harvesting with care, the grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing before cold settling. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with neutral yeast, preserving the purity of the terroir and allowing its minerality to shine.

The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 9 to 12 months, adding depth complexity.
