Chateau des Correaux
Domaine Bernard is located in Leynes, on the border between Beaujolais and Mâconnais, in a unique valley where both white, rosé, and red wines are produced, bridging southern Burgundy and northern Beaujolais.
The estate covers around 20 hectares, including 19 hectares of white varieties and 1 hectare of red. This exceptional location gives the domaine access to a wide range of terroirs and expressions.
Germain Bernard practices sustainable viticulture, with a strong focus on environmental balance. Vineyards are grass-covered between rows, and treatments are only applied when strictly necessary. Soil is carefully worked to maintain health and vitality.
This approach requires close monitoring of the vines and constant adaptation to weather conditions. The aim is to preserve ecological balance between fauna, flora, and micro-organisms, allowing nature to naturally regulate certain diseases.
Cover cropping also helps prevent soil erosion, improves water retention, and supports the availability of essential minerals and trace elements for vine growth.
